Day 1
HOBART ARRIVAL – MONA
Welcome to Tasmania! Upon arrival at Hobart airport, your private guide will meet you and start your culinary experience with a guided tour of Tasmania’s second-oldest winery and wine tastings. You’ll also receive a beautifully packaged bottle of wine from the Muse series. An indulgent 2-course lunch of seasonal local produce and matched wine is arranged at MONA’s flagship restaurant, The Source’. After lunch, explore MONA, the Museum of Old & New Art, one of the world’s most unique and controversial museums. View Australia’s largest private art collection with its fascinating blend of ancient and modern art. Later this afternoon, check into your accommodation at Hobart’s vibrant waterfront.

Day 2
MOUNT FIELD NATIONAL PARK – DERWENT VALLEY
After breakfast our journey continues through the picturesque Derwent Valley, which is dotted with orchards, hop fields and quaint reminders of the historical origins of the area. Arriving at Mount Field National Park, be mesmerised by the lush forest landscapes from temperate eucalyptus rainforest to alpine moorland. Your guide provides an interpretation along the rainforest walk to Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and the Tall Trees, some of the world’s tallest flowering trees. Lunch is arranged at the Agrarian Kitchen, a Tasmanian Kitchen institution by chef Rodney Dunn. Conclude the day with a visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary for an opportunity to experience Tasmanian Devils, wombats, quolls, and other Australian animals. The Tasmanian kangaroos at Bonorong are incredibly gentle, so take the delightful opportunity to hand-feed them. This dedicated team of wildlife carers provides an invaluable service to researching and protecting native wildlife in Tasmania.

Day 3
TASMANIAN SEAFOOD SEDUCTION
This morning we will walk the short distance across to the Franklin Wharf and embark on a culinary Seafood Seduction Cruise. Start your journey at Hobart’s waterfront and cruise down the River Derwent to Bruny Island. Take in spectacular views of the Island’s coastal geology and enjoy this unique experience. Visit a local Salmon Farm and harvest oysters fresh from the sea. Watch your guide dive for abalone and sea urchin and pull-out a crayfish pot. Stretch your legs and stroll along at one of Bruny’s deserted beaches. Back on board, savour the best of Tasmania’s produce and enjoy a delicious seafood BBQ with Tasmanian wines before returning to Hobart in the late afternoon.

Day 4
HOBART – FREYCINET PENINSULA
Today’s journey takes you to the sunny East Coast of Tasmania. Passing through small coastal villages Orford, Triabunna and Swansea. Meet the maker at a local chocolate factory before we take you to some of the best cellar doors to enjoy Tasmania’s cold climate wines. After lunch explore Freycinet National Park and take a walk up to the Wineglass Bay lookout for a stunning view over one of the ten world’s best-rated beaches and the Tasman Sea. Your accommodation for the night is the newly built Mountain Terrace room at Freycinet Lodge.

Day 5
FREYCINET PENINSULA – LAUNCESTON
After breakfast leave the unsurpassed beauty of Tasmania’s East Coast and make your way into the picturesque northern Tasmania wine region, home to the state-of-the-art winery Josef Chromy situated in the estates’ original 1880s homestead. GO BEHIND THE LABEL AND EXPLORE THE WINE-MAKING PROCESS FROM GRAPE TO GLASS! Our guides will take you through the history of Josef Chromy Wines, introduce you to our ampelography vineyard and showcase our traditional method of sparkling before heading back to the cellar door for a wine-tasting flight and a two-course lunch of fine Tasmanian produce with matched wines in the Josef Chromy Wines Restaurant. Visit the scenic Cataract Gorge, where the South Esk River forces its way through sheer rocky cliffs before your guide bids you farewell either at your accommodation or the airport.
