Day 1
LAUNCESTON – CRADLE MOUNTAIN
Meet your guide at Launceston airport at noon to start your journey to UNESCO World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain National Park. Travel through lush rolling farm pastures before reaching the alpine bush. Enjoy an introduction to this fascinating alpine environment before arriving at your accommodation.

Day 2
CRADLE MOUNTAIN AND DOVE LAKE
On a clear day, the rugged grandeur of Cradle Mountain is reflected in the tranquil waters of Dove Lake, or you may experience the drama of its craggy peaks through swirling mist. Your guide will share with you an insight into the history and flora and fauna of the region. In the late afternoon visit Devils@Cradle Wildlife Sanctuary to gain insights about the world’s largest carnivorous marsupial and witness the feeding of this unique species.

Day 3
CRADLE MOUNTAIN – FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, leave the rugged Cradle Valley and travel towards Launceston. Visit the stunning Cataract Gorge where the Esk River forces its way through sheer granita. Lunch is arranged in a local restaurant with a view before travelling to Tasmania’s East Coast with its exceptional beauty, pristine white sandy beaches and granite coastline.

Day 4
FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK – WINEGLASS BAY
Today, there will be ample time to explore the unsurpassed beauty of the Freycinet National Park. You may walk up the track to the world-famous Wineglass Bay lookout for some stunning photo opportunities with views across Freycinet National Park. A shorter clifftop walk around the Cape Tourville lighthouse is also available. Taste fresh oysters or some of our cold climate wines before this day concludes.

Day 5
FREYCINET PENINSULA – TASMAN PENINSULA – HOBART
Enjoy a scenic drive south along the East Coast, passing through sleepy fishing villages and spectacular coastal scenery. Continue to the Tasman Peninsula, where you will visit Port Arthur and hear the story of Tasmania’s famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed convict settlement. Set in tranquil gardens, Tasmania’s famous convict settlement site harbours a dark history that our experienced guide will bring to life. Your accommodation for this evening is in Tasmania’s capital city, Hobart.

Day 6
BONORONG – MT FIELD NATIONAL PARK
A visit at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is your opportunity to experience Tasmanian Devils, Wombats, Quolls and other Australian animals. The Tasmanian kangaroos at Bonorong are incredibly gentle, so take the delightful opportunity to hand feed them. This dedicated team of wildlife carers provides an invaluable service to the research and protection of native wildlife in Tasmania. Our journey continues through the picturesque Derwent Valley dotted with orchards, hop fields and quaint reminders of the historic origins of the area. After lunch, travel to Mount Field National Park, the oldest in the state. Explore the green forest canopy where you crane your neck to see some of the tallest flowering trees in the world. The majesty of Russell Falls is revealed after a short stroll through the lush rain forest

Day 7
MONA – HOBART DEPARTURE
Enjoy a stroll in Tasmania’s capital. Hobart is a quaint city which features many well-preserved sandstone buildings. The vibrant waterfront and Salamanca Place were once the hub of a thriving whaling industry. On Saturdays it is host to the legendary Salamanca Market. Continue to MONA, Museum of Old & New Art, the largest private art collection in Australia (Friday to Monday only). With its fascinatingly eclectic blend of ancient and modern exhibits. MONA is a truly exceptional experience. After lunch, travel to the Coal River Valley Wine region and sample some of the region’s award-winning wines. Discover the charming village of Richmond with its elegant Georgian architecture. Soak up the nostalgia of colonial times as you enjoy a walk by the river. Your guide will bid you farewell at Hobart Airport or your accommodation.
